The Beginning
Well were to start,
the transport game in the UK and Europe is getting worse, the country is in a right two and eight, They want to cut your hours down so you can no longer earn a living, some companys are asking drivers to take pay cuts. Great what a 2009 to look forward to in the uk. So what does a hard working driver do to earn a living now.
Canada they want you to work harder and get payed for what you drive, the more you turn miles the more you earn. Sounds fair to me.
Thats it my mind is made up i am going to find a job in Canada (fingers crossed). Do some looking on the internet and find (britishtruckersabroad.com) great read for a start off, and find a driver i have worked with before mikesjollyincanada just incase you want to look at his blog too.
Couple of phone call later i find out from another friend (road-rat.com) Keith that Steven is in Otley for a week, thanks to Steven for seeing me at short notice. Great bloke that i had meet before years ago, cup of coffee and a chat about what they want from me has a driver and thats its job done. 18/1/2009,
